Tuna And Crab Salad Sandwich

Seared tuna mixed folded into a crabmeat mixture, spread on sourdough  bread and topped with gruyere cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 6oz tuna loin, seared
  • 1/2 Cup Crabmeat
  • 1 Stalk celery chopped
  • 1/2 Cup red onion chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. italian parsley chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Capers
  • 6 hard boiled egg whites chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp. dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 slices gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 Cup butter unsalted
  • 1 6oz bag potato chips

Cooking Steps

  1. Crumble seared tuna and place in a bowl with crabmeat. Stir in celery, red onion, parsley, and capers. Add egg white, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper; mix gently.
  2. Spread tuna mixture evenly on two slices of bread. Top with Gruyère cheese and remaining bread slices.
  3. In a skillet melt butter over medium heat. Add sandwiches to skillet and cook until toasted on both sides. If desired, serve with potato chips.
