Pan Seared Blackened Pork Chops
A mouth-watering dish of seasoned center cut pork chops seared in olive oil and served with sauteed string beans
Ingredients
- 1 lb center cut pork chops
- kosher salt (to taste)
- 2 Tbsp. blackening spice
- 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. onion powder
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 8 oz yellow and green string beans blanched
- Salt (to taste)
- black pepper (to taste)
- 2 Tbsp. shallot chopped
- 2 Tbsp. garlic chopped
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Cooking Steps
- Season pork chops with blackening spice, garlic powder, onion powder and salt.
- Then coat skillet with olive oil and place on medium high heat. Place chops in the pan and let cook 4- 5 minutes on each side. Remove from pan and set aside.
- In same skillet, add butter, garlic shallots cook until soft. Add the blanched green beans and cook for 4 - 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve along with the pork chops.
