Pan Seared Blackened Pork Chops

A mouth-watering dish of seasoned center cut pork chops seared in olive oil and served with sauteed string beans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb center cut pork chops
  • kosher salt (to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp. blackening spice
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 8 oz yellow and green string beans blanched
  • Salt (to taste)
  • black pepper (to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp. shallot chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Cooking Steps

  1. Season pork chops with blackening spice, garlic powder, onion powder and salt. 
  2. Then coat skillet with olive oil and place on medium high heat. Place chops in the pan and let cook 4- 5 minutes on each side. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In same skillet, add butter, garlic shallots cook until soft. Add the blanched green beans and cook for 4 - 5 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve along with the pork chops.
